Photograph album primarily depicting personnel of the Spokane, Portland, and Seattle Railway. Most of the images were taken from 1945-1956, and the album also contains copies of photographs originally taken as early as 1898. Other subjects in the album include photographs Portland during the Vanport Flood of 1948; female employees of the railway company during World War II; Native Americans fishing near Wishram, Wash.; the first train from Astoria to Portland in 1898; and the completion of railroad construction between Vancouver and Pasco, Wash. in 1908. Includes a typescript history of the Spokane, Portland, and Seattle Railway. Photographers include Allan J. De Lay, Alfred A. Monner, Arthur Prentiss, and Gifford & Prentiss and Photo Art Studios of Portland, Or., among many others.
